Lincolnshire market

After reading my daughters blog I feel the need to redress the balance somewhat. She was warned several times about the bus journey to Lincoln but thought it would be a piece of cake for a seasoned traveller like her. Huh!. Graham almost begged us to go by car but "commonsense?" prevailed and we went by bus. Firstly the bus was late coming from Skegness which meant that when we arrived in Louth, the connecting bus had gone. There were some 11 or so people left stranded. Fortunately, one of the strandees was a councillor. She demanded the bus drivers mobile phone and proceeded to phone the managing director of the bus company. She was very eloquent and the upshot was that we were all taxied to Lincoln at no cost to us! At the Lincoln market there was much imbibing of free samples. I was tipsy in the first 10 minutes and Graham got to such a state that he actually bought a bottle of Whiskey!
Coming home was another farce. The journey was horrendous and guess what? the bus was late and so we missed the connection to Mablethorpe. There wasn't another bus for an hour so we had to walk around a supermarket until the next bus came.
Yesterday we went to see the seals at Donna Nook bombing range.
